Honey (song)

Now honey, I'll tell you straight:
I sat down to write you a love song
But this tale I came upon
An' I thought you might relate.

If I had a time machine
I'd wheel back through the ne'erending dream
Till I happened on the seam
The great Lie planted within the stream.

A humble human was arisin'
When Mother Nature was a-thrivin'
Man still respectin' of the lion
I would hunt the father who told the Lie, an'

And I would weep
Cause I can't sleep
Without you here
My dear.

The fornicating gods were abed
As the fated words flew back into his head
Oh darling, I would strike this man dead
Before, like cancer, his Lie did spread.

And I would weep
Cause I can't sleep
Without you here
My dear.

Now this Lie I should mention
While I retain your sweet attention,

For it I hear
So frightful near
And I weep
I cannot sleep
Without you here
My dear.

He said: Son, on my oath,
You're the most precious thing on the Earth.
