A wise prophet once said
That in my weariness
I shall echo the words of the weary
And so I have
And so I shall
For this is a weary world
And my old soul
Fears the recklessness of youth
And the consequences
Of poor decisions
Yet the unconscious decision of the weary
Is to circumvent the making of
Decisions
And so I have
And so I shall
For I am a weary man
In this weary world
Until, that is, I wake up
And stare into the sun
And shroud the stars in my own light
In my own wisdom
In my own words
For there is greatness in each of us
We weary
We sad
We dissatisfied
We must simply find
The spark inside our soul
The channel were were meant for
The purpose of our own existence
Not an easy task
For the weary or the energetic
So, best of luck
hmm...Connell, once again, you have my mind a-whirring with what you share...

... simply find. .. Find simply.
I do wonder. .. if this 'find' Is actually rather Simple - - I bet it is. . Yes, much more simple than our complicated, convoluted, even contrived world allows for. ... .
you are so right - - I believe that we all have a channel that we are meant for .. . it can be just so darned hard to Tune into it with all, All... ALL the channels out there...and the different societal 'values' attached to each channel. . .
maybe, just maybe. .. the answer is to strip down to the very basics of inner wellness. .. go Simple. . .and therefore ... Find. .hmmmm again.

I absolutely agree, Shelagh.
ReplyDeleteIt is so easy to get caught up in the powerful thoughts and emotions that naturally dominate our mind: desire, anger, pride, etc. It is much harder to sit back from one's mind and look for something just a bit less superficial but so much simpler.
I like your play on the "simply find," as I believe we are all looking for simplicity, we just don't know it. It is a difficult thing to realize, and much more difficult to implement and actually find this simplicity in our lives that can, in the long term, have such a beneficial effect.
