My World is Lost in Translation

My world is lost in translation;
But is it my view or the scene
That's unfocused?
Clarity has no part in this vision,
There is no belief to smooth the edges,
I laugh with a hollow sadness,
I sob with vacant eyes,
Into the abyss will you free me,
For in it already I twirl and dance,
Too many colours surround me,
Too many mouths shouting profanities,
Lamenting that nobody's listening,

Spiteful that you don't understand,
I hear it all but it's all a cacophony,
A melodious drone with no syllables,
Life is a claustrophobic jumble,
Arms squirming, legs writhing,
Faces twisted and pained,
There is no translator of reason,
No words to express sweet thought,
We are all bottled and fuming,
Frustrated and selfish
In our search for belief.

Morality is but an excuse for desire,
A happy pathway to fulfillment,
The soft pudding that cushions contentment.
Give me lust and greed and hurt,
I don't buy your recycled happiness,
I don't want your manufactured pleasure,
Cold sorrow is better than sweet nothings.
